100 Word rom-com
Roman tosses the decorative pillows from the bed, a nightly ritual.
“What’s the point of these?”
“I thought you liked them,” says Maeve.
“I don’t, do you?”
Maeve shrugs, “Not particularly.”
“You remember your Tums?”
“Nope.”
“I’ll get ‘em.” Roman offers.
Tums taken, Maeve and Roman crawl in; their bodies and the mattress a chorus of creaking.
“Do you remember which book I was reading?” Roman asks
“The blue one.” Maeve laughs. “We’d forget our own names without each other.”
“Just don’t forget you love me.”
Maeve reaches for his hand between the sheets.
“I’ll never forget that, Jim.”
