I Don't Care

Are your hearts turned toward me? Then I am with you.

I don’t care how big your building is.  I don’t care how small.  I don’t care how many people – I don’t care how few.  I don’t care.

I don’t care what kind of music you play, or if you play music at all.  I don’t care who sings or who dances or who speaks.  I don’t care what you say or don’t say.   I don’t care what the people wear. I don’t care how much they put in the bucket.  I don’t care if you serve drinks or desserts – I don’t care if you don’t.  I don’t care how many times you gather together – I don’t care how long.  I don’t care how you’re organized – or who is in charge.

Are your hearts turned towards me?  Are you moving and speaking and doing and creating in an effort to glorify me and me alone?  Are you seeking me?  Are you worshipping me?  Are you praising me?  Am I even invited? Do you love me?  Do you love truth? Do you love the person next to you?

Because if you are, if you do, your building is just the right size with just the right amount of people and the music is beautiful.  Your words are glorifying me, your singing is lovely, and I am moving through your voices.

You are clothed in garments of praise, whatever earthly form they take.  You are speaking truth because your eyes are on me and my spirit is in you.  You are leading and organizing from a place of surrender because you can do nothing else when you are seeking me with all your heart, soul and mind.  It is beautiful because it is for me, it is beautiful because when you are for me, I can be for you.  When you are for me, I can live and move and breathe in you – I can take you places you would have never thought to go, I can grow you or shrink you or transform you.

I can take a grain of sand and turn it into a thousand miles of beach.  I can take a worn out man and turn him into a microphone for my message, for my truth, for the good news of the good kingdom.  I can explode inside this place you have built so people come in empty and leave full of me and spread my light everywhere they go.

I can do this.

You cannot.

You cannot in your whole life create and conjure and manufacture what I can do in a millisecond.  You cannot.  I can.  I can do this through you.  You can be a part of it.  You can look back, from your place in eternity, and see what I was able to do with your surrender, with your praise, with your obedience.  You can see the lives changed, the shadows lifted, the prisons destroyed, the prisoners freed.

Or you can look back and see what you built and I worked through sometimes.  You can see what you created, and what you sustained.

Don’t.  Don’t do that.  Don’t build or create or manufacture or dictate without me.  Don’t make your plans and ask me to help.  Fall at my feet and surrender every ounce of your being to me – see me for who I am and fully believe there is no better way, no other way to live this life.  Open your eyes to the kingdom and want nothing more than a place inside it.  Let me tell you what I’m building and how I want you to be a part of it – wait for my instructions.  Let me tell you what I’m creating and how I want you to be a part of it – wait for my instructions.

You can be busy in this life, in this world, and be doing nothing for the Kingdom because you work apart from me.

Or you could be doing nothing other than waiting in a position of surrender and be storing up treasure in the kingdom by the ton.
